I started to implement UPnP Media Server using CyberLink for Java from last week. I am creating the Content directory, and I have succeeded in recognition using Intel's AV Media Controller for the moment. I have added the plugin interface for the media items such as MP3 and JPEG, but I want to change the interface finally.

LF-X1 supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g, and it will can receive MPEG-4 streaming video from PSX and DVD-HDD recorders of Sony sometime soon. Sony have unified the recorder development department like PS-X, Cocoon and Blue-Ray DVD recorders. I hope that many Sony devices will support UPnP Media Server and Player specifications.

Source Code Distribution Service is prepared for the people who are interested in Sony products with Linux embedded Technology. However the UPnP SDK, SONY NSC SDK (UPnP Core)/1.3.4, is not distributed :-)

MOBILE HACKERZ have released a client software for Cocoon. It can download the movie contents using the UPnP Media Server functions.

Entertainment PC is a new form factor for home entertainment. Many Windows Media based devices will be released in this year such as the Entertainment PC, Xbox Media Center Extender Kit and Windows Media Center Extender. I would like to get the case and the motherboard without WindowsXP to create my original recorders.

GV-D1VR has a D1 input, and it can record digital outputs directly.

OpenPVS is a localized video recorder based on MythTV in Japan. They add some hardware changes to ASUS's bareborn like the remote control receiving board.

etBIOS based motherboard is released in Japan. The etBIOS can play DVD video and MP3 audio without operating systems.
