CyberLink for C++ : I fixed a bug about the control point that could't get service descriptions of many UPnP devices correctly.

CyberLink for Java : I added some functions to get related values of the argument such as AllowedValueRange and AllowedValueList to the current release. I will add more useful function, and release as the new version.

Cobalt : I want to run a simple socket program using the simulator, but the simulator become hung up when I redirect the socketLib calls to the host TCP/IP X-<

OpenGL ES : PalmSource Joins The Khronos Group. They plans to make the OpenGL ES APIs available in a future version of Palm OS Cobalt.

RSi : Sony, Fujitsu and Mitsubishi established RSi, Robot Service initiative, to connect their robots using the common physical and network protocol that is based on RoboLink and SOAP. To connect digital home devices such as HDD recorders, the robots will support DHWG :-)

Carbonado : Intel displayed the new 3D graphics engine for Xscale at Game Developers Conference 2004. The performance is 3 million polygons per second.

Mascot Capsule : HI will port their 3D engine to NVIDIA's newly-announced GoForce architecture for mobile devices.

T-52 : It is a big rescue robot using Telexistence. The height is 3.5m, and the weight is 5t. The arm can get objects until 500Kg.

Xgrid : The Preview 2 is released.

I have started the porting of CyberMediaGate using C++, but I seem that I have to do more refactoring to the original source codes of Java and more thead safe to the CyberLink for C++.

Web3D.org : The site is renewed and my projects are added to the developer tool's page.

Docomo AV Adaptor : It has a FOMA PC card, can control home devices using the IrDA interface.

NFC Forum: It is a short wireless specification such as Felica. They want to use it for network communication of home digital devices such as mobile phone and car navigation.

Java3D : Sun may release Java3D as a open source.

Advanced Digital Media Server was displayed at 2003 the International KEITAI Forum. It supports DTCP, Digital Transmission Content Protection, and can distribute the recorded contents to other STB.

M65 : Siemence displayed the new concept mobile phone for bicycle that has a cycle computer at 2004 CeBIT.

YH-999 : Samsung displayed a Windows CE.NET and XScale based player for Windows Portable Media Center at 2004 CeBIT, but It has no network connection without USB.

CyberX3D for C++ : I have released the new package, v1.0.1, with some bug fixes and submit the package to Web3D.org.

Teacube : Peraonal Media released it about $200. It is a T-Engine based micro computer, but It is the expensive platform for personal developers.

Palm OS Developer Suite : I installed the Eclipse based developer tool, and run the sample source of sockets and multi threading in OS 6. The debugger is very slow to start, but I could get the develop environment free :-)

Play@TV : It seem support UPnP AV 1.0 using Intel's UPnP MicroStack.

CyberMediaGate : I have released the new package, v1.0.1, with some bug fixes. I have received many suggestion codes from Rovert Johansson about the OutOfMemory exception, Thanks :-) After the release, I started the refactoring to port using C++.

Palm OS Protein : I am reading the SDK documentations about the thread and the network functions to know wheter I can port my projects to Cobalt. I should confirm the porting to create some simple applications.

Partner Robot : Toyota announced their robot project overview. The robots are created using some Pentium III CPUs and RT Linux.

Tel Controller : Matsushita released it to operate home devices such as air conditioner and electrical lock using mobile phones. It is based on HA JEM-A specification of JEMA that can turn on and off the home devices.

InstantOn : I could see the window image for the first time.

  • Web3D.org : The web site will be rebuilded, and many old pages are dead now. According to the mailing list, I may need to submit my projects to their database. I am rebuilding the VRML parser of CyberX3D C++ to run under more minimum memory.

    DIGA : Toshiba will release their Blue-ray disk recorder with three digital and analog tuners and the LAN port in July. The new recorder may support UPnP AV because they announced their support for Windows Media Connect, Advanced Digital Media Server, at the 2004 CES.

    OSGi : I am reading the specification, OSGi Service Platform Release 3. In Japan, NTT will release their home network service, Home Service Harmony, using the platform in the near future.

    DTCP-IP : It is a new transit protect proposal using AES from Intel.

    Oregan Network : They are a provider of embedded digital home entertainment, and their solution was validated for Intel NMPR at first.

    Flex : Macromedia will release server side softwares on Linux. I was creating a XML server for Flash clients at work, I would like to rebuild and release it free if I have more time.

    3D Consortium opened a new mobile site of 3D contents, CREATORS LOUNGE for mobile, for SH505i that has a 3D LCD display.

    Beep: It will be reprinted and I orderd it. I used to read the magazine about twenty years ago because they were earger for minor game machines and computers such as SEGA mark III.

    Magical VEngine : SEGA released a new motion capture of face. In addtition to vowel motions, It can recognize consonants at realtime.

    XC Cube AV EA65 : It is installed a Linux based consumer software, InstantON, to play DVD, MP3, CD and FM radio.

    Apple : It seem that their stock was soared last week because of groundless rumor that Sony will buy their.

    openMosix : I am reading the Japanese document. I would like to use it for my project in the future.

    Because a speed meter of my bicycle is out of condition, I found other speed meter that I bought such as ERGOBRAIN in my home but I couldn't. Threfore I orderd new speed meter with other parts such as tires.

    Intel envisions TiVo-like wireless PCs : Intel would submit their network guidelines, NMPR, to DHWG later this week.

    Encryption and Authentication Specification v.1.0 : I can't read get the specification, but I seem that some changes are added for MPEG4 specification about DRM. I hope that MPEG4 will be more spreaded for low devices such as moble phones.

    REX-Link1 : It is a wireless audio adaptor to listen computer music such as MediaPlayer and iTunes on home audio system.

    Star Blade : It was released for Play Station 1 and 3DO. Now, It can be play on Vodafone's moble phones such as V601SH as the Java Applet of 256KB.

    Ultra Monkey : It is a project to create load balanced and highly available services on Linux. Using the software, NTT Comware released new load balancer system.

    I checked soruce codes of mythtranscode to know why it can't translate my recorded movies using QuickCam. I found that it can't know the recording format, but I don't know why.

    The IBM Smart captuer card that I got at Yahoo auction is arrived, and I tried to install it on Redhat9. Howerver I find out many compile errors. I seem that the driver is based on Linux kernel 2.2, I may need some changes.

    Obje : I read the technical description. I seem that the framework can include other standards such as UPnP, but I don't know how to do the implementation from the document. I would like to know in more detail, but I seem that I have to get the license to know more.

    A768 : It is new Linux based, MontaVista Linux Consumer Electronics Edition 3.0, mobile phone to China markets. It has USB, IrDA and Bluetooth interfaces, supports OTA, Over the Air, update.

    mProve : The new version, 3.1, is released at 3GSM Congress. Sony Ericsson Janpan released their mobile phone, SO505iS, with the mProbe to update the embedded software over the air.

    Hitachi released HA-1601 VOD Terminal. It is a x86 based STB that can play MPEG1, MPEG2 and WindowsMedia9 streaming. It has a Internet Explore based browser too.

    Canon announced to discontinue selling the analog video camera in the world wide.

    I could get IBM Smart Capture Card II at Yahoo auction. It is old and slow device, but I would like to use it as a good device for Video4Linux on my note PC.

    Palm OS Simulator : It is available for Cobalt. I have interested in the multi task function of Palm OS 6, and I would like to run CyberLink on the device that has Wi-Fi access such as PEG-UX50.

    Roku SDK : Their players such as Roku HD 1000 are interesting for developers.

    I installed some DV softwares such as Coriander, gscanbus, Kino, libdv and libdc1394 to use Panasonic NV-GX7 on Linux. I could run the softwares with no problem, but I seem that the DV camera is not used as a Video4Linux devices. I would like to get more good capture device for mythtv.

    Intel Remote I/O : It is not a UPnP standard yet, but It may useful to create networked remote control.

    MontaVista released Consumer Electronics Edition 3.1. It has new IDE for Eclipse, DevRocket 1.0.

    Toshiba announced new MPEG4 encorder and decorder LSI integrated 3D graphics engine for mainly mobile phones. OpenGL ES is fully supported as the graphic API.

    TI announced OMAP2. The 3D performance is 2 million polygons per second and it will support OpenGL ES.

    Big Channel2 : It has three motherboards, 2.25TB HDD, six tuners and six MPEG2 encorders to record ground broadcasting.

    SoundVu : NEC released new LCD display. The LCD panel is used as the sound speaker.

    MXI OS : RADIXS will release it to use applications of Windows, Linux and Palm OS on their mobile device like VNC viewer.

    DVD Forum : They announced provisional approval for Microsoft's VC-9, H.264 and MPEG2 to the HD-DVD video specification.
