iMediaSuite : The application was released on AppStore for iPhone and iPod touch from yesterday.

iMediaSuite is based on some UPnP/AV specifications to connect other UPnP/AV and DLNA devices for iPhone and iPod touch users. Using the application, you can play contents on media servers of UPnP/AV and DLNA, and share images in your picture library in your home network.

Please check the application in more detail on the public site or AppStore.

I use a ipod touch !

Hi,

I released the application only for iPhone and iPod touch 2nd Generation.

I have changed the setting to run first iPhone and iPod touch now.

The updated information will appear on the App Store shortly. Please wait for a while :-)

Hi all!

I have made a few comments on these programs on my blog (http://homenetworking01.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!D6F5A17F1E518E37!466.trak) as being a way to bring the concept of UPnP AV / DLNA to the Apple iPod world. This is even though Steve Jobs hasn't taken to the idea of the UPnP concept, but all this third-party software will get him to realise that the UPnP IGDs and DLNA hardware is part of the larger computing scene.
With regards,
Simon Mackay

Hi Simon,

Thanks for your comment and blog.

I will release other applications based on UPnP, and release the framework as open source :-)

Hi,

I would like to access the iTunes and the picture directories on my applications ...

Using the standard iPhone SDK for AppStore, it is impossible to access the file system in iPhone directly now ....

Hi,

I bought it because of the Picture-Functionality, and it works quite well with my mediatomb-uPnP-Server...
Some things I would wish for the next release: Zooming into Pictures, Landscape/Portrait-Mode and a next-/last-Picture function...

Hi Martin,

Thanks for you comment about iNetFrame.

> Zooming into Pictures, Landscape/Portrait-Mode and a next-/last-Picture

I want to know your requests. Please tell me your functions in more detail on the following support site or by email directly.

Hi Martin,

I made a mistake in you request. I thought that you requested some functions for iNetFrame ..... I didn't understand your requests because iNetFrame has the landscape and portrait mode ....

I understand your requests about iMediaSuite. I try to add your request in the future release.

Hi,

I tried to get it to work with Buffalo Linkstation DLNA server. iTunes finds the music on my linkstation server, but iMediaSuite not. I click Player, it finds my Linkstation, then I'll choose it, I can further chose Music, Pictures, Video. Chose Music, then All Music - but nothing is shown? Any hints or did I loose my 5 EUR. I could have bought a BigMac meal. ;-)

I am trying to play a .m4a from my media server. The song shows up in the iMediaSuite player list. But it doesn't play the .m4a. Any ideas?

Also, what is needed to play a .mp3 file? My .mp3 files do not play either.

Help!!

Hi,

iMediaSuite can't play MP4 audio directly.

Does your media server have the transcode function such as Windows7.

I will improved iMediaSuite to select get an appropriate URL in the multi resources this week.

ANother question, I am able to play some .mp3 files, but they only play the first 10-30 seconds of the song. It appears that iMediaSuite does not understand the file size of the mp3, since when it plays the progress indicator moves very quickly. A wireshark capture of the TCP connection shows iMediaSuite terminates the connection after 10-30 seconds. Is this an easy thing to fix? It would really maje this app very useful.

Thanks,
Keith
